Linda Pearson Hardy

Linda Pearson Hardy beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many, departed this life peacefully Friday August 22, 2025 at her home in Tifton surrounded by her three daughters and precious niece who she considered her own.

A graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge cemetery Sunday August 24th at 3:00 PM with her grandchildren speaking and Jeff Parson her son in law leading the service. The family will receive friends and family from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM in the chapel of Albritton Funeral  Directors before the service at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Parson, Reggie Lott Jr, Charlie Lott, Greg Stone, Patrick Stone and Eric Stone. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Pearson,  JR, Mike Pearson, and David Pearson. Linda attended First Methodist church in her youth and was a graduate of Tift County High school and worked at The Citizens Bank of Tifton following high school.

Later in life she worked in the radiology department at Tift Regional Hospital and developed many friendships. She was well respected and loved.

Linda raised 3 daughters with love, and was proud of each of them. Later in life Linda married a family friend Jim Hardy and they spent their lives together until his passing in 2022.

Linda was proud homemaker who loved spending time with her grandchildren and her pets and all were spoiled rotten with love. Linda provided a fun, safe environment for her grandchildren and would often tell them they were “never to loud or messy”, and she never said no to them. The grandchildren have many special memories with their Mama L.

Linda loved Amelia Island and spending time there with family. She had an impressive collection of Beanie Babies from the 1990s that she also cherished. Even at the end she wanted her Beanie Babies with her.

Linda is survived by her brother Don Pearson Sr and his wife Linda, her loving daughters, Lyn Parson and her husband Jeff, Lela Layfield, and Laurie Lott and her husband Regg. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Charlie Lott, Kenna Layfield, Carrie Ann Layfield, Abbie Lott and her great granddaughter Ellie Douglas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Carrie Pearson, her husband Jim Hardy, her sister Barbara Sumner and her brother Wendell Pearson.
