Linda Selph Hall, a cherished member of Tifton, Georgia, peacefully passed away on January 8, 2026, at her residence. Born on December 4, 1946, in Colquitt County, Georgia, to her parents, Wilburn and Nellie Selph who preceded her in death. Linda led life that was dedicated to her faith, family, church and community.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Norris officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Albritton Funeral Directors Friday, January 16, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
The Deacons of Eastside Baptist Church of Tifton will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of theJoy Sunday School Class at Eastside Baptist Church of Tifton.
Linda's professional journey was marked by her roles as a secretary for the Tift County Board of Education, the City of Tifton and Dixie Oil Company. Her contributions to these institutions reflected her commitment to public service and her love for the community she served.
She was a proud graduate of Tift County High School and she instilled the importance of education, and faith in her loved ones, ensuring that they knew the Lord as their savior. Her strong faith was evident in her active participation of Eastside Baptist Church, where she shared her love of music by singing and playing the piano and organ.
Linda's relationships with her family were foundational to her life. She is survived by her beloved husband, Terry Alvin Hall, as well as her children, Richard John Hall and his wife, Ramona, and Alica Ann Barfield and her husband, Kenneth. Linda took great pride in her role as a grandmother to Tami Herring, Hank Wilson, Teri McDaniel, Bree Barfield, Ethan Barfield, and Kenna Barfield, and she was blessed with seven great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy, along with her sisters, Janice McBrayer and Wilma Outlaw, that also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers-in-law, Mike McBrayer and Donnie Outlaw.
Linda was especially proud of her husband, Terry's military service, to the United States. She was a devoted military wife, who was deeply committed to her family and her faith and will be remembered fondly by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Linda Hall will be deeply missed by her family and friends, remembered for her unwavering support, her love of music, and her devotion to the Lord and her loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, faith, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
