Mr. Lonnie Floyd Lupo, 72, of Tifton passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at his residence.
A Memorial service will be held Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with family and friends officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. before the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Lupo was born November 2, 1947 in Wray, Georgia to the late Thomas Jefferson Lupo and Dona Mae Rowells Lupo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby Lupo, Johnny Lupo and T. J. “Junior” Lupo. Mr. Lupo was a self-employed mechanic and had lived in the Brookfield area most of his life. Lonnie enjoyed fishing and hunting. He raced cars in his early years and was a track star at Tift County High School where he graduated. Lonnie loved his family especially his granddaughters.
Mr. Lupo is survived by one daughter Penny Jeanene Lupo of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law Richard Lynn and Dixie Lupo of Tifton and Floyd Thomas and Angela Lupo of Calhoun; six grandchildren Julie Tapp, Jamie Tapp, Anna Lupo, Abby Lupo, Georgia Lupo and Jasmine Lupo; two sisters and brother-in-law Jeanelle and Fred Barnes of Tifton and Mary Virginia Barnes of Berrien County; three brothers and sister-in-law Carlton Lupo of Irwin County, Raymond Lupo of Tifton and Ronnie and Lynda Lupo of Tifton.
Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
