Lucille L. Osborne

August 9, 1932 — July 17, 2017

Lucille L. Osborne, 84, of Tifton went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 11am in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Chad Hall and Rev. Brian Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Randy Crenshaw, Justin Crenshaw, Bo Edenfield, Wayne Markham, Buddy Talley and Ed Connell will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Osborne was born on August 9, 1932 in Brooks County to the late George Walker Stringer and Willie Mae McGee Stringer. She was married to Malcolm V. Osborne for 61 years. As a military wife, she and her husband had traveled the world. Mrs. Osborne was the owner/operator of Mother Goose Daycare Center in Ocilla and Fitzgerald in 1970 and 80’s. She had lived in Tifton since 2006.

Mrs. Osborne was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church of Chula. She loved to cook and travel. She also loved people and her family.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Osborne is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Judy Hall of Brookfield and Vickie and Keith Hickman of Tifton; one sister, Grace Carrowan of Simpsonville, SC; three brothers, James and Retha Stringer of Dasher, GA, Vernon and Pat Stringer and Carlton and Ginger Stringer, both of Irwinville, GA, three grandsons, Ben and Alex Hickman and Christopher Watson; and one granddaughter, Melody Gandy of Tifton.

Mrs. Osborne was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert and Melvin Stringer.
