Maebell (Nolen) Fletcher

Mrs. Pearlie Maebell Nolen Fletcher, 81, of Sanford, North Carolina formerly of Berrien County passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at her son’s residence in Sanford.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 10, 2022 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Hayward H. Nolen and Rev. Brenda Yon officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home before the service. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County.

Mrs. Fletcher was born October 13, 1940 in Tift County to the late Guy Hayward Nolen and Hattie Jane Nichols Nolen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Fletcher, her son, Bruce Edward Gifford, five brothers and two sisters. For most of Mrs. Fletcher’s life, she was a homemaker who served others as a caregiver and house cleaner.

Mrs. Fletcher is survived by her daughter, Ella Louise (Susie) Walls of Slapout, Alabama; her son, Phillip Paul Soots of Sanford, North Carolina; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; her brother, Hayward Hubert Nolen of Mineral Wells, Texas; her sisters, Inez West of Powder Springs, Georgia and Sandra White of Statham, Georgia.
