Margaret Lee Dillard

Margaret Lee Dillard, born Margaret Lee Watson, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Harborview Nursing Home in Tifton, Georgia. She was born on October 22, 1942, in Tifton, Georgia, and remained closely connected to the community she called home throughout her life.

Margaret will be remembered for the simple joys that meant so much to her. She was an avid reader and loved to read her Bible. She also loved to ride around Tifton, enjoying familiar places and the comfort of home. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she previously attended Believers Baptist Church when her brother-in-law was the minister.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda I Dillard and Diane R. Shiver. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Leshannon Corey Roberts, Jessica Kelly Shiver, Jamie Howell, and Joseph Howell. Margaret is also survived by her brother, Sonny Dale Watson. Those who knew and loved her will remember her with affection and gratitude, and her presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kelly Dillard; her father, Louis Watson; her mother, Gladys Hobbs Watson; her sister, Margie Richie; and her brothers, Marvin Watson, Billy Watson, Bobby Watson, Samuel Watson, Bud Watson, Z.L. Watson, and Buddy Watson.

Margaret’s life was marked by faith, family, and the familiar comforts she cherished. May her memory bring peace and comfort to all who knew her.
