Mr. Mark Eugene Chapman, Sr. died Sunday, April 11, 2021 at his residence in Tifton.
There will be no formal services held.
Mr. Chapman was born in Tifton on January 21, 1964 in Tifton to the late Tom Chapman and Carolee Gonser Chapman. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Chapman, and his two brothers, Tommy Chapman and Lee Chapman. He had lived all of his life in Tifton and was a graduate of Tift County High School. Gene was the owner of Automotive Services, Inc. since 1998. He was an innovative thinker and he had invented several things such as the "Yard Jack" which was a useful car jack. Gene thought through schematics of robots. He enjoyed building things and constructed his own tow truck. In 1996, he appeared on "The Leeza Show." The show was about the world's most dangerous jobs.
Gene loved his country and his family very much, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Mark and Brittany Chapman of Tifton, his two grandchildren, Carson Chapman, Arianna Chapman, his three nieces, Candy Hendley, Misty Chapman-Meyer, and Theresa Chapman along with his former wife, Melissa Chapman.
