Mary (Swan) Schaffer

Mary Swan Schaffer, 60, of Irwin County died Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Switzerland Community Cemetery in Switzerland, Florida.

Mrs. Schaffer was born on June 6, 1960 in Patterson, New Jersey to Ann Mills Perkins of St. Augustine, Florida and the late Edward George Swan, Sr.   Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel D. Schaffer who died April 15, 2019.

Mrs. Schaffer had lived in Irwin County since 1997.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed various crafts such as crocheting and quilling.

She is survived by her two daughters and son- in-law Summer and James Holt of Ocilla, and Erika Lee and Chris Lee of Jacksonville, Florida, five grandchildren, Dacee Blawn, Hailee Blawn, Alyandra Lee, Aivan Lee, and Willow Holt, one sister, Belinda Beach of Somerset, Pennsylvania, two brothers, Edward George Swan, Jr. of Charlette, Tennesse,William Swan of Jacksonville, Florida and also many nieces and nephews.
