Mary Lee (Hayes) Sheppard

Mrs. Mary Lee Hayes Sheppard, 77, of Tifton, passed away and entered into her eternal rest, Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center

Graveside funeral services will be held in Oakridge Cemetery on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Elder Jim Sandlin officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at Albritton Funeral Directors from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Kevin Mansukhani, Corey Young, Conner Mansukhani, Joe Lane, Shane Courtoy and Clayton Usry will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Sheppard was born June 15, 1943, in Tift county as the daughter of John Austin Hayes, Sr and Juanita Stone Hayes, all of whom preceded her in death.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years, Lamar Sheppard, her sister, Brenda Griffin and her brother, Johnny Hayes.

Mary was a homemaker and a true woman of faith.  She was very active in her church where she served as the church clerk for many years.  In the community she served as a volunteer at the Golden Living nursing home and participated in the chair yoga at the Leroy Rogers Community Center.  She was a beautiful woman who loved her family.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved baking, entertaining her family and friends at get togethers, playing cards, and other games.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Greg Boerger of Guyton, Melissa and Roger Usry of Leesburg, Judy Richardson of Villa Rica and son Steve and Phyllis Sheppard of Villa Rica, grandchildren, Kevin and Kathleen Mansukhani, Corey Young and his fiancé Baylee Purvis, Taylor and Joseph Lane, Maighan Mansukhani, Conner Mansukhani, Tad and Tina Richardson, Meg and Jason Whitlock, Lauren and Nic Turner, Clayton Usry, and Courtney Usry Earp, eight great grandchildren and her brother Sidney Hayes of Tacoma, Washington.

Flowers will be accepted or donations be made to Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church C/O Mike Hasty, 345 East Ashley St., Rebecca, GA 31783.
