Matthew Paul Jones

Matthew Paul Jones, 44, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at his residence.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Mr. Jones was born July 18, 1974 in Norfolk, Virginia to Samuel Jones of Norfolk, Virginia and the late Edna Tyson Longstreet. He was a truck driver for Millis Transfer and a graduate of Tift County High School. Mr. Jones had lived in Tifton most of his life. He loved rock music and his pet rat Jasmin. He had a beautiful heart and loved his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed showing them magic tricks.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his brothers, Samuel and Brenda Jones of Tifton, Tim and Zoe Jones of Centerville, Billy Meadows of Newport, North Carolina, Christopher and Anna Slaymaker of Tifton, Frank and Candice Rich of Denver, Colorado and Kyle Verkuilen of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his sister, Kristen and Danny Millard of Virginia Beach, Virginia and many nieces and nephews.
