Melissa Ann Brinson

Melissa Ann Robinson Brinson, affectionately known as Lisa, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026, at her residence in Chula, Georgia. Born on March 13, 1961, in Moultrie, Georgia, Lisa devoted her life to caring for husband, children and grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Corey Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home before the service. The family will hold a private interment at a later date.

Lisa dedicated many years to serving the Tift County Board of Education in the lunch room department as a cook and server. Beyond her professional life, she was a woman of simple pleasures and profound love, finding joy in taking care of her home and, especially, her grandchildren. Lisa enjoyed reading, tackling crossword puzzles, and tending to her flower garden.

She was born Melissa Ann Robinson and leaves behind a loving family who treasured her warmth and kindness. She is survived by her husband, David Brinson of Chula; her children, Melissa Kilpatrick, Robert Kevin Connors, and Kelly Marie Brinson, her six grandchildren and her sister, Wanda Sue Connell. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, James D. Robinson and Maudine Young Robinson.

Melissa Ann “Lisa” Brinson’s gentle presence and loving care have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to inspire her family and community in the years ahead. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
