Melvin Keith Griffin

Melvin Keith Griffin, aka “Keify G” a devoted truck driver and beloved family man, passed away on December 19, 2025, in Worth County, Omega, Georgia, at the age of 55. Born on December 31, 1969, in Tifton, Georgia, Keith devoted much of his life to his passion for driving and working with his hands.

Family will hold a private service at a later date.

As a self-employed truck driver, Keith took immense pride in his work. He loved the open road and embraced every opportunity to drive his semi-trucks, finding joy in the freedom that came with the journey. In addition to his trucking career, Keith was a talented handyman and enjoyed landscaping, where his skills shone brightly. He often took on a variety of projects, making him a true Jack of all trades.

Beyond his professional life, Keith cherished the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending many weekends immersed in nature, in the woods behind his house enjoying the serenity it offered. He loved the music of the eighties. Like Bruce Springsteen, Journey and U2.

Family was a central part of Keith's life. Keith was a dedicated father to his children, Harly Griffin, Kally Smith, and Alexander Keith Griffin, as well as being a stepfather to Tyler Jacob Childers. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Janice Mae Griffin and Elizabeth Jane Griffin, who brought immense joy to his life. He is survived by his wife, Amanda Lynn Tillery Griffin, his mother, Ellen Hayes and his girlfriend, Kaitlyn Childers of seven years who was her hero. He died of a heart attack saving her and their fur babies from a house fire. He also leaves behind his half-sisters, Carla Williams and Paige Foote, and his brothers, Daryl Griffin and Monk Griffin, along with half-brothers Lance Griffin, Steve Duckworth, David Young, and Ricky Hernandez.

Keith was predeceased by his father, Melvin Rudolph Griffin, and his great-grandson, Jacob Morales. The memories of his warm spirit and unwavering love for his family will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him. Keith’s passing leaves a profound sorrow among his family and friends, but his legacy of hard work, love for the outdoors, and devotion to his loved ones will be cherished and remembered deeply.
