Myra Wiggins

Mrs. Myra Gibbs Wiggins, 87, of Tifton passed away on January 22, 2023, at Legacy Village Assisted Living of Tifton.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Oakridge Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Kilgore officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Wiggins was born May 13, 1935, in Tift County to the late William “W.O.” Gibbs and Ressie Liles Gibbs. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Eston Wiggins and one daughter, Kathaleen “Katie” Michelle Wiggins, her sisters, Pauline Thrasher, Dot Hayman, Margaret Manaugh and Joyce Distefano; her brothers, Alton Gibbs, Donald Gibbs and Earl Gibbs. Mrs. Wiggins was office manager for Brown Ford/ Griffin Ford for a combination of forty-nine years. She was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church of Tifton. She loved to work in her yard and was very involved with youth at church, youth trips, camps and basketball. Mrs. Wiggins loved spending time with her granddaughter. She also enjoyed spending time socializing with friends and shopping.

Mrs. Wiggins is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard Wiggins of Powder Springs, Georgia and Jeffrey and Ann Wiggins of TyTy; her granddaughter, Tiffany (Justin) Lanier of Norman Park; her brother, Randall K. Gibbs of Powder Springs, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northside Baptist Church Building Fund, 4605 Murray Avenue, Tifton, Ga. 31794.
