Myrtle Grace (Paulk) Cook

August 11, 1940 — May 30, 2017

Myrtle Grace Paulk Willis Cook, 76, of Omega died Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the chapel at Albritton Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Terrell Roberts officiating.  The family will receive friends on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cook’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Cook was born on August 11, 1940 in Colquitt County to the late Dutch and Estelle Webb Paulk. She graduated in 1958 from Sumner High School and was married to James Franklin Cook of Omega for thirteen years. Mrs. Cook was a manager with the Tupperware Company, where she had many friends through her years. She was also a member of Carpenter Road Church of God.  Mrs. Cook enjoyed going to the mountains and beach and activities with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cook is survived by three daughters, Pamela Lee and Danny White of Enigma, Teresa Yancey of Ty Ty and Carrie Elizabeth Saunders of Omega; one son, Michael Willis of Omega; one sister, Ruth Tillman of Tifton; one brother, Jim Paulk of Scooterville; seven grandchildren, Ryan Keith White, Mitchell and Angela White, Zachary and Alicia White, Andrew Parker White, Joshua John Gillis, Tristyn Levi Dunn, and Dylan and Ashley Yancey; and seven great grandchildren, Savannah White, Luke White, Draysen Gillis, Elijah White, Zachary “Z.J.” White Jr., Aiden White and Taylor White.

Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Daniel Yancey and one brother, Gene Paulk.
