Nancy Galena Golden Cattell, served as the General Manager for Honeywell International for twenty years. She passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. Born on February 21, 1967, in Tifton, Georgia, Galena’s life was marked by her steadfast commitment to excellence, her deep faith, and her love for family and community.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 3, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Justin Beck officiating, Mr. Jim Golden delivering the eulogy and Bishop Buck Golden providing the message. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church before the service.

Damon Spikes, Nick Golden, James Golden, Anthony Golden, Zack Golden and Hunter Golden will serve as pallbearers.

A proud graduate of Tift County High School, class of 1985, Galena exemplified meticulous dedication and organization throughout her life, traits that earned her respect both personally and professionally. She was known for her perfectionist nature, which she balanced with an engaging warmth. Her passion extended beyond her career to her hobbies, as she collected angels and embraced Native American heritage with a special fondness.

Galena’s loyalty to her roots and spiritual beliefs was profound. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she found strength and solace. Additionally, she was an avid fan of the University of Georgia, cherishing moments spent supporting her favorite team.

She leaves behind a loving family who were her greatest joy. Among those mourning her loss are her beloved children, Tabitha Sumner (Evan) and Allyson Litterer (Ryan); her cherished mother, Nancy Galena Dean Golden; and her siblings James Perry Golden, II (Kim), George Lowrey Golden (Jennifer), Robert Foster Golden (Tracey), Douglas "Buck" Golden (Tracey) and Debra Susan Smith. Her grandchildren, Brittany Sumner, Holly Sumner, and Aaron Sumner. Galena also held a special place in her heart for her sister-in-law Lynne Golden, along with numerous nieces and nephews, carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.

Galena was preceded in death by her father, James "Jim" Perry Golden, and her brother, Joseph Elder Golden.

Galena Cattell's life was a testament to commitment, faith, and the pursuit of excellence. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her, yet her spirit and contributions will continue to inspire future generations.
