Oris Coy Stone

Oris Coy Stone, 68, of Tifton, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016 at his residence.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 05, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Eldorado Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Stone officiating.

Bobby Stone, Larry Stone, Tommy Stone, Travis Stone, Kris Stone, Milton Thompson and Ryan Thompson will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Stone was born in Tift County on April 14, 1948 to the late Coy and Rebecca “Becky” Metts Stone. He was a 1968 graduate of Tift County High School and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Stone was married to Theresa Jane Fowler Stone. As a lifelong resident of Tift County, he worked as the assistant manager over drilling operations and purchasing manager for Bishop Well and Pump Service for 32 years. Some of his favorite past times were gardening, wood working and flying as a pilot. Mr. Stone loved his family and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ very much.

In addition to his wife, Jane Stone, Mr. Stone is survived by one son, Keith Stone of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Staten Maye of Tifton; four grandchildren, Collin Maye, Elisha Maye, Jaidyn Maye, and Liam Stone; one brother and sister-in-law, Cleo and Doris Stone of Tifton and one sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Grady Thompson Jr. of Tifton.
