Peggy Ann (Miller) Tucker

Mrs. Peggy Ann Miller Tucker, 82, of Tifton passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in The First United Methodist Church of Tifton with the Rev. Benjy Varnell officiating. Kelly Tucker will give family remembrances. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Albritton Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Miller, Mitchell Tucker, Sam Tucker, Erin Tucker, Cal Miller and Jeff Miller.

Mrs. Tucker was born June 27, 1935 in Tift County to the late John C. Miller, II and Ruby Lee NeSmith Miller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Rev. John C. Miller, III. She was married to Fred Tucker for sixty years. Mrs. Tucker was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Tifton and a school teacher for TCDI PreK and others for thirty-five years.  Mrs. Tucker graduated from Georgia Southern with an Associate’s Degree. She enjoyed teaching, playing piano, cooking and working with flowers in her yard. She was the hub of her family. Mrs. Tucker was a positive person finding goodness in everyone and everything.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Lori Tucker of Norcross, Greg and Kelly Tucker of Tifton; six grandchildren, Carrie Tucker, Andie Tucker, Aaron Tucker, Will Tucker, Mitchell Tucker and Sam Tucker.
