Phillip A Dominy, 74, born on April 20, 1951, in Lumpkin County, Georgia, departed this life on August 25, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. He leaves behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Tifton First Methodist Church with Rev. Chip Grantham and Rev. Bryan Layton officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Randall Moore, Tim Hall, Damon Griffin, Stan Mercer, Mike Hall, Kevin Hall, Brad Hall, Terry Hall, Rubert Hogan, Brad Simmons and Tony Hall will serve as pallbearers.

A proud graduate of Ludowici High School in 1969 and then he attended ABAC. Phillip forged a path marked by dedication and service. He served honorably in the United States Army and was chosen to serve in the Army Security Agency where he served in the Vietnam War in the 509th group of the 101st -Radio Research Company, receiving several accolades for his service, including the National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two stars, Bronze Star Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Phillip found his calling as a self-employed welder and Mill Wright, where he utilized his skills and work ethic to support his family. His dedication extended beyond his profession; he was an active member of Tifton First Methodist Church, where he served as an usher, lay leader, lay minister, and taught Sunday school. These roles reflect the profound impact he had on those around him. He loved to minister to others.

Phillip was more than a skilled tradesman and committed church member; he was a man of many interests and hobbies. He was known affectionately as the "King of Annie's Place," He loved to play tennis and he also coached his daughter all the way to college. His love for animals shone through in his thoughtful acts of feeding the woodland creatures. His enjoyment of astronomy, hunting, fishing, and music illustrated his diverse passions. He was an avid reader and shared countless stories filled with humor, always aiming to bring laughter to those in his company. His deep knowledge and study of the Bible were integral to his life.

He is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-one years, Dianne Hall Dominy; his children, Shelley and Gene Fandel, Shiree and Matt Davis, and Sistie Dominy; and his beloved grandchildren, Riley "Roo" Davis, Ben "Bennie boy" Fandel, and Emma “Emma M” Fandel. Phillip cherished his numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law along with numerous, nieces and nephews, who will carry fond memories of his loving spirit.

He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Hilton Dominy; his mother, Dorothy Branch Dominy; and his in-laws, Kealous and Annie Hall.

Phillip A Dominy will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose spirit touched the lives of many. His warmth and kindness will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him even the homeless, he would often contribute financially and spiritually.
