Rita Ann (Lucas) Griffin

Ms. Rita Ann Lucas Griffin, 67, of Tifton passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Tifton Health and Rehabilitation Center of Tifton.

The family request no formal services will be held.

Ms. Griffin was born October 22, 1952 in Bleckley County, Georgia to the late J. C. Lucas and Olga Hamlin Lucas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Eula Faye Mann. Ms. Griffin was a homemaker and of Baptist faith. She moved to Tifton in 2007 from Warner Robins to live with her brother. She enjoyed listening to country music and cooking.

Ms. Griffin is survived by two daughters, Teresa Ann Johnson and Rachael Johnson of Lilly; one son George Wendell Johnson of Lilly; eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law Joan and Clyde Reynolds of Ft. Valley; seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry Lucas of Tifton, Donnie and Mary Lucas of Ft. Valley, Russell Lucas of Perry, Jimmy and Mary Ellen Lucas of Pinehurst, Charles and Gracie Lucas of Sylvester, Maxie Lucas of Cookeville, Tennessee and Wayne and Ruth Lucas of Crossville, Tennessee.
