Robert Harris Tucker,74, affectionately known as "Harris," was born on August 1, 1951, in Atlanta, Georgia. He passed away on December 3, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. He lived a full and meaningful life, marked by his dedication to education and his deep commitment to family, community and church.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Tifton First Methodist Church with Rev. Chip Grantham officiating. Interment will follow at Poplar Springs Christian Church Cemetery in Scott, Ga. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Harris retired from Tift County Board of Education after long and fulfilling career as the media network director. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and supporting the next generation of technology learners. During his earlier teaching years, he taught physical science at Berrien County High School, where he also coached the women’s basketball team and served as the assistant Football coach.

A proud alumnus of Berrien County High School, Harris graduated in 1969 and went on to earn his degree in Education from Georgia Southern University in 1973. He was deeply invested in his community, exemplified by his involvement at Tifton First Methodist Church, where he served as the media director and participated in numerous mission trips to Peru, El Salvador, and Ecuador. His commitment to service extended beyond the walls of his church, leaving a lasting impact on those he encountered.

Harris was passionate about photography, videography, and technology, and he loved music and traveling. He found joy in playing the guitar, creating memories that enriched his life and those around him.

From 1971 until her passing in 2015, he shared his life with his best friend and beloved wife, Vicki Arnold Tucker. Their bond was a cornerstone of his life, and he carried the warmth of their partnership with him throughout the years. Harris is survived by his children, Britt Tucker and adopted son, Stephen Costa. His family also includes two loving sisters, Bonnie and Dean Duncan, and Melody and Neal Carter; brother-in-law, Bobby Arnold; along with cherished nieces and nephews: Matt Duncan, Tad Duncan and Mason Sheffield, Lee Carter, Noel Carter, Edie Leach, and Forrest Arnold.

Harris is preceded in death by his dear wife, Vicki Arnold Tucker, who passed on September 28, 2015; his father, Robert Wallace Tucker; his mother, Virginia Tunnel Tucker; and his brother, Charles David Tucker.
