Ronald Gordon Dillard

Ronald Gordon Dillard, 70, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 13th at 2:00 p.m. in Chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Andy Ring and Rocky Carrington officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jamie Dillard, Pat Marchant, Dwight Dunn, Timmy Domingue, William Dillard and Cole Dillard will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Dillard was born July 8, 1948 in Eldorado, Georgia to the late Ivey Dillard and Jewel Weldon Dillard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Beverly Carter; three brothers, Sirman Dillard, Billy Dillard and Donnie Dillard. He was married to Diane Greer Dillard for forty-eight years and was a self-employed carpenter. Mr. Dillard was of Baptist faith attending Salem Baptist Church and a veteran of United States Army serving in Viet Nam. He had lived in Tift County all of his life. He was a family man especially loving his grandchildren.  Mr. Dillard enjoyed being outdoors, coon hunting and had several dogs that were very special to him. He loved being on his farm and tending to his farm animals.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Dillard is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Randy Domingue, Kim and Rocky Carrington all of Tifton; one son-in-law, Doug Carter of Tifton; seven grandchildren, Casey and Kristen Domingue, Reed Domingue, Brooke and Brantt Carrington and Emma and Ethan Carter; one great grandchild, Ramsey Domingue and his mother-in-law, Evelyn Greer of Tifton.
