Sara Nell Webb Harnage, of the Tifton community, passed away on January 29, 2024, at the Southern Oaks Personal Care Home in Tifton, Georgia. She was born on September 16, 1937, in Berrien County, Georgia. Throughout her life, Sara Nell touched the lives of many with her kind heart and gentle spirit.

Sara Nell received her education at Berrien County High School. Immediately after high school, she married Mr. Curtis Harnage and lovingly stood by his side until his passing on March 31, 2020. Their marriage lasted an incredible sixty-two years. 

One of Sara Nell’s proudest accomplishments was being a dedicated member of Waterloo Baptist Church. She devoted herself to teaching Sunday School and using her beautiful voice as a member of the church choir. Sara Nell’s faith was an integral part of her life and brought her immense joy. When her children were attending school, she held many offices and jobs at Tiftarea Academy. For many years she had a home daycare where she helped raise forty plus children for working families.

In addition to her loving husband, Curtis A. Harnage, Sara Nell is preceded in death by her father, H. P. Webb, her mother, Minnie Lee Purvis Webb, her son-in-law, David Fitzgerald, and her five brothers Thomas Webb, Larry Webb, Elbert Webb, Carroll Webb, and Loye Webb.

Sara Nell’s memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family and friends. She leaves behind three children: Kathy Fitzgerald of Tifton; Keith Harnage of Columbus; and Dana Harnage of Tifton. Her grandchildren Timothy and Heather Fitzgerald; Kayla and Duran Paulk; Saralyn and Adam Hutchinson; Becca Renaue; and Matt Price will forever hold memories of their loving grandmother close to their hearts. Sara was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Micah Paulk; Kaylan Paulk; Chloe Fitzgerald; Hannah Paulk; Anleigh Dixon; David Renaue; Addy Renaue; Tyson Craig; Allie Craig; and Isabelle Hutchinson. Her sister, Velma McMillan of Dawsonville, GA, also mourns her passing.

A visitation will be held to honor Sara Nell’s life on January 31, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Albritton Funeral Directors.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at New Griffin Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Pangle officiating, 1554 New Griffin Church Road, Alapaha, Ga. 31622.

Timothy Fitzgerald, Duran Paulk, Adam Hutchinson, Nick Craig and Scot Harnage will serve as pallbearers.

Sara Nell Webb Harnage will be remembered for her unwavering faith to her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, her kind heart, and joyous spirit. She has left a lasting impact on all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
