Shellia Ann Flesher

Shellia Ann Flesher, born Shellia Ann Cook, passed away on September 19, 2026, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia. She was born on January 11, 1960, in Phoenix, Arizona. Her passing brings sorrow to those who knew and loved her, while also inviting remembrance of a life marked by devotion to family, steady work, and the simple joys that made her so special.

Shellia worked as a machine operator with Shaw Industries. She was also known for the warmth she brought into the lives of others. A wonderful cook, she shared meals and recipes that will continue to be cherished by many. She was an avid reader who especially enjoyed murder mysteries, and she found pleasure in working puzzles, pastimes that reflected both her curiosity and her thoughtful nature.

Above all, Shellia will be remembered through the family she loved. She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany West, and Tiffany’s husband, Mike West. She is also survived by her step-son, Jay Flesher, and his wife, Cindy, and by her step-daughter, Tony Hathcock, and Tony’s husband, Jimmy Hathcock. Her memory will live on in her grandchildren, Conner West and his wife, Abigail, Tucker Dowdy, Tyler West, and step-grandchildren Maci Flesher, Jennifer Brown, and Cathy Whaley along with several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Al Cook and Calvin Barnes, and by her sister, Hazel Dean. Each of them carries forward memories of her love, her presence, and the everyday kindness that made her so dear.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Gene Flesher; her father, Houston Albert Cook; her mother, Hazel Ruth Sellers; and her brother, Eugene Barnes.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Shellia Ann Flesher will be remembered with love for the life she lived, the family she treasured, and the many ways she made others feel at home. Her memory will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew her.
