Sherry Elaine (Lovette) Glenn

December 15, 1940 — February 23, 2017

Sherry Elaine Glenn, 76, Tifton, formerly of Fitzgerald, died Thursday, February 23, 2017 in Titusville, Florida.

Graveside services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele with Rev. Donnie Wright officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 25 from 6-8 pm in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Glenn was born on December 15, 1940 in Abbeville, Georgia to Christine Adams Lovette of Plains, Georgia and the late Randall Lanier Lovette. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1959 and the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing in 1961. Mrs. Glenn married Coy Elmore Glenn on February 10, 1961 in Union SC and he passed away September 4, 2013. Before her retirement she worked at Tift Regional Medical Center as a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery unit for forty years.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Glenn is survived by two sons, John “Craig” Glenn and Maureen McHale of Longwood, FL and Terry “Scot” Glenn of Titusville; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Glenn Edwards of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Terry Lanier Lovette and Sarah of Andersonville, GA; eight grandchildren, John Glenn of Deland, FL, Racheal and Danny Gay of Tifton, Kayla Glenn of Orlando, FL, Tyler Glenn of Titusville, FL, David and Natascha Glenn of Jacksonville, FL, Justin Glenn of San Antonio, TX, Christopher Glenn of Atlanta, and Sara Glenn of Orlando, FL; one great grandchild Devyn Sand of Tifton, and several nephews, their spouses and children.

Mrs. Glenn was preceded in death by her father, Randall Lanier Lovette in 1985.
