Shirley Sue (Stripling) Baldree

April 29, 1937 — June 1, 2016

Shirley Sue Stripling Baldree, 79, of Tifton died Wednesday, June 01, 2016 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 04, 2016 at 4:00 P.M.  in the chapel at Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Bobby Hooks and Doc Cates officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 03, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The nephews of Mrs. Baldree will serve as her pallbearers.

Mrs. Baldree was born April 29, 1937 in Berrien County to the late J.C. Sr. and Eddie Sue Wynn Stripling.

As a graduate of Tift County High School in 1957, Mrs. Baldree worked for many years for K-Mart. After retiring from K-Mart she began her second career at Tift County High School lunchroom. She loved crossword puzzles and flowers. Mrs. Baldree was a great cook. She loved her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Baldree is preceded in death by her son, Michael Irven Baldree and her granddaughter, Paige Marie Baxley.

Mrs. Baldree is survived by her husband of 58 years, James Irven Baldree; her two daughters and son-in-law, Pamela B. Hanks of Chula and Teresa (Teri) B. Webb and Jackie of Chula; grandchildren, Haley S. Slocumb, Sean Michael Baxley, Amanda N. Hanks, Karley C. Webb, Misti Montesano, and Cheyenne Sandifer; great grandchildren, Logan Slocumb, Kynlee Slocumb, Mason, Cruze, and Rhys Montesano, Bentley Mark Fields, Dallas Sandifer, and Parker Sandifer; and her brother, Jimmy Stripling of Thomaston.

Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
