Simona (Gomez) Duque

Mrs. Simona Gomez Duque, 56, of Tifton formerly of Monte Bello S.L.P. Mexico passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church of Tifton with Father Peter Oyenugba officiating. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, October 29, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Duque was born Monte Bello S.L.P. Mexico to Mrs. Gregoria Duque and the late Antonio Gomez. Mrs. Duque was a member of Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church of Tifton. Miss Simona was a wonderful mother, grandmother and was an excellent provider for her family. Mrs. Duque loved working in her garden and she grew beautiful flowers. She was a strong woman who showed a remarkable sense in her faith in Jesus Christ and Mary Guadalupe.

Mrs. Duque is survived by her husband, Evodio Gutierrez of Tifton; three daughters, Angelica Gutierrez, Nohelia Gutierrez and Guadalupe Gutierrez; her sons, Jose Antonio Gutierrez, Francisco Gutierrez, Jesus Gutierrez and Cristian Gutierrez; fourteen grandchildren; her sisters, Virginia Pinon, Victoria Gomez and Lidia Gomez.
