Michael worked at Tift General hospital for eighteen years, Affinity Health Group for approximately five years, and ABAC for seventeen years.  He took great pride in his work at the ABAC and spent many overtime hours solving problems.   Anyone who really knew Michael knew there were two things he was proud of; one was his family and the other was his work accomplishments.

Michael is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Olena McLean and she is very proud of him.  He was a wonderful husband and friend to all.   He was a brave strong and selfless man to their, two sons, Jon (Heather) McLean of Sumner, Igor (Lauren) Kolba of Gainesville, FL and their two daughters Kelcie (Roberto) Lopez of Fort Worth TX, and Yuliya (Lukas) Lastinger of Tifton. Michael had three granddaughters, Perrin McLean (Jon), Charmanie Lopez, and Amelia. He also has four brothers and sisters-in-law; Bobby and Debbie McLean of Tifton, Mark McLean of Tifton, Ray McLean of Tifton, and Sydney and Vickie McLean of Dublin. Along with his parents Jimmy and Dassie McLean, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Charmanie McLean.
