Mr. Stephen Michael McLean passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital of Tallahassee, Florida. He was 64 years old. Michael was born October 13, 1957 in Selma Alabama to his parents, the late Jimmy and Dassie McLean.
The family will receive friends at Albritton Funeral Directors in Tifton, GA on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 6:00 P.M – 8:00 P.M. The graveside funeral will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Chula, GA on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Trey Brown officiating.
Jon McLean, Igor Kolba, Lukas Lastinger, J. R. McLean, Tommy McLean and Robbie McLean will serve as pallbearers.
After graduating from Tift County High School in 1975, he joined the United States Navy where he was a Machinist Mate 2nd class aboard the USS Independence CV 62. Michael worked at Tift General hospital for eighteen years, Affinity Health Group for approximately five years, and ABAC for seventeen years. He took great pride in his work at the ABAC and spent many overtime hours solving problems. Anyone who really knew Michael knew there were two things he was proud of; one was his family and the other was his work accomplishments.
Michael is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Olena McLean and she is very proud of him. He was a wonderful husband and friend to all. He was a brave strong and selfless man to their, two sons, Jon (Heather) McLean of Sumner, Igor (Lauren) Kolba of Gainesville, FL and their two daughters Kelcie (Roberto) Lopez of Fort Worth TX, and Yuliya (Lukas) Lastinger of Tifton. Michael had three granddaughters, Perrin McLean (Jon), Charmanie Lopez, and Amelia. He also has four brothers and sisters-in-law; Bobby and Debbie McLean of Tifton, Mark McLean of Tifton, Ray McLean of Tifton, and Sydney and Vickie McLean of Dublin. Along with his parents Jimmy and Dassie McLean, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Charmanie McLean.
