Susie Helen (Johnson) Eadie

Susie Helen Johnson Eadie, 83, of Tifton passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Derron Spikes officiating. Entombment to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Shumock, Dexter Eadie, Derwood Eadie, Dennis Ikner, Allan Coker and Matthew Fields.

Mrs. Eadie was born June 18, 1934 in Goodway, Alabama to the late John Claude Johnson and Susie Agnes Gregson Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Douglas Eadie and two sons, Douglas Eadie and Mell Duggan Eadie, II who died 12-7-13 and eleven silbings. Mrs. Eadie was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Tifton. She was a homemaker and quality inspector with Union Camp. She always enjoyed being with her family, cooking and gardening, especially flowers.

Mrs. Eadie is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Charles Baldree of Lenox, Nancy and R. J. Rezner of Fairhope, Alabama; four sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis Shumock of Alexandria, Louisiana, Derwood Eadie of Atlanta, Dexter and Anna Belle Eadie of Saudi Arabi, John R. and Kate Eadie of Atlanta; six grandchildren, Angelia and Marvin Broadus, Crystal Ann Powers, Vanessa Powers Weikert, Kacie Malia Eadie, Charisa Alena Eadie and John Anthony Eadie; three great grandchildren, Dennis and Alyssa Ikner, Derrick and April Walker, Matthew and Savannah Fields; four great great grandchildren, Maddie Ikner, Alyson Walker, Addie Rose Walker and Lynnelee Fields;  one sister, Sarah Smith of Goodway, Alabama; two brothers, Dean Johnson of Atmore, Alabama and Joseph Johnson of Columbus, Miss.

The family request no flowers, but donations may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 1290, Tifton, Ga. 31793.
