Thelma Parker Cooper

Thelma Parker Cooper, 77, of TyTy died Friday, October 21, 2016 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Albritton Funeral Director’s chapel with Larry Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Danny Lamb, Vohn Ramos, Josh Scarbrough, Bryan Wimberly, David Rutland and Lamar Baldree will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Cooper was born on February 08, 1939 to the late James and Cora Lee Brown Parker in Armurchee, Ga.

Mrs. Cooper was married to the late Robert Wayne Cooper who died in May of 2008 and they lived in Tifton for many years. She faithfully attended Ridge Avenue Church of Christ in Tifton. She enjoyed cooking, watching Atlanta Braves baseball and Wheel of Fortune, and reading. She especially loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by her son Robert Daniel Riddle of Tifton; four daughters, Debora and Bruce Cargle, Sr. of Valdosta, Mary and Josh Scarbrough of TyTy, Lisa and Vohn Ramos of Tifton and  Betty and Bryan Wimberly of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Tony Watson of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Audrey Parker of Ruby, SC; nine grandchildren, Kristy and Danny Lamb, Bruce and Whitney Cargle, Miranda Cargle, Marissa Ramos, Morgan Ramos, Andrew Ramos, Amanda Riddle, Hannah Scarbrough and Matthew Wimberly; four great grandchildren, Rachel Cargle, Taylor Cargle, Riley Cargle and Cassidy Cargle and one daughter-in-law, Cindy Rutland of Omega.
