Mrs. Tracy Hembree Young, 64, of Omega passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at Salem Baptist Church on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Phillip Dove officiating. Interment will follow at Omega Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. at the church before the service.
Bradley Hembree, Austin Lee, Dakota Hill, Preston Taylor, Terry Davis and Garrett Brown will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Young was born September 11, 1960 in Colquitt County to Owen Hembree and Lillie Salter Hembree. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was a retired business owner of Worth Cleaning. Mrs. Young had lived in Omega all of her life.
Tracy loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and had many close friendships throughout her life. She was a dedicated wife, mother and NaNa. Tracy loved watching her soap operas and hallmark. She enjoyed working around her pool in her flowers, spending time with family and especially her grandkids. She enjoyed trips to the beach with her family and was an avid shopper.
Tracy is survived by her daughter, Crystal Hembree Gottshall (Shannen) of Adel, Russ Young (Michelle), April Young (Kelley) of Sylvester. Eleven grandchildren. Justin Gottshall (Sam), Brandon Gottshall (Emma), Miranda Gottshall (John), Austin Lee (Bryanna), River Gottshall, Kayleigh Hall, Gage Hall, Reese Prather, Cal Ray, Eden Young and Mary Hadley Young. Four great grandchildren, Harper Fields, Charlee Kate Fields, Addy Martin and Tayte Lee. Two sisters, Dale Hembree Keith and Gale Hembree Brown (Dan) all of Omega. Four brothers, Serell Hembree (Norma) of Omega, Randle Salter of Crossland, Charles Hembree (Shirley) of Albany and Tommy Hembree (Joyce) of Albany and numerous nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly.
Mrs. Young is preceded in death by her husband, Walt Young, her mother Lillie Salter Hembree and father, Owen Hembree, her brother, Ricky Hembree and sister Angie Hembree Ethridge.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Tift Area, especially her nurse, Amanda Holt for their care of Mrs. Young.
