William "Bill" Adger Keith

William Adger “Bill” Keith, 68, of Tifton passed away on December 26, 2018 at Legacy Village of Tifton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Dan Eidson officiating. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mr. Keith was born July 17, 1950 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Robert Keith and Anne King Keith. He was married to Connie Murphy Keith of Tifton for forty-three years. Mr. Keith was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Tifton. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in South Korea during the Vietnam War. He was awarded with the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon. He served for four years and received an Honorable Discharge. He was a retired manager for Belk’s of Tifton. After retirement from Belk’s, he worked with Chad Sumner State Farm Agency. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting, being outside and college football. He was a longtime member of The Tifton Kiwanis Club where he served as Distinguished President and District Lieutenant Governor.  He was devoted to the club’s missions and duties. He was a family man and was most happy in family activities. Mr. Keith had lived in Tifton since he was discharged from the Air Force. He graduated from ABAC with an Associate Degree in Business Administration. In 1994 he graduated from Georgia Southwestern College with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree . His granddaughter was the sunshine of his life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lori Keith of Tifton; two sons, Kevin Keith of Tifton and Stephen Keith of Athens; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jan and Dave Kirchman of Lexington, South Carolina, Libby and Sonny Daniels of Warner Robins, Georgia; one granddaughter, Talia Keith; several nieces and nephews.
