Wilma Jewell Harbin

Wilma Jewell Hamilton Harbin, 87, of Tifton passed away Thursday, July 06, 2017 at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Jack Perrin and Dr. Fred Evers officiating. Entombment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 09, 2017 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.

Cliff Hurst, Nic Herron, Joshua Rackley, Joey Andrews, Robert Harbin and Ray Rackley will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Harbin was born on April 17, 1930 in Berrien County to the late John and Neva Holley Hamilton. Before marrying, she worked as a telephone operator. She was married to Charles Wilson Harbin for 63 years at his death. After her marriage to Mr. Harbin she became a homemaker. Mrs. Harbin enjoyed gardening, cooking and trying out new recipes, and family reunions. She was very active in Northside Baptist Church where she was a member of Ann Hammonds Sunday School class.

Mrs. Harbin in survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Ray Rackley of Elko, GA and Lisa and Bill Darby of Jacksonville, NC; her grandchildren, Callie Rackley, Melissa and Cliff Hurst, Christina and Nic Herron, Joshua and Magen Rackley, and Allie and Joey Andrews; two great grandchildren, Michael Rackley and Elias Herron; three brothers, Winton Hamilton, Clarence Hamilton and Paul Hamilton; one sister, Jeanette Poindexter and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Harbin was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Smith in 2007.
