Winston Eugene West

Winston Eugene West, 74, an Electrician who served T & S Electric for over twenty-five years, has passed away at his residence in Sycamore, Georgia on Monday, July 22, 2024.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 26, 2024 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Mr. Bo Edenfield and Rev. Jason Loggins officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. 

Frank Dominguez, Jason Upshaw, Scott Upshaw, Ben Lindsey, Spencer Hawkins and Joe Hodge will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be T&S Electric employees, Upshaw family, Dr. James Graham, Paula Reaves and Nikki Taylor. 

Born on November 28, 1949, in Worth County, Georgia, Winston was known for his passion for fishing, hunting, and hard work. 

Throughout his life, Winston cherished his family and friends dearly. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Patsy Jean Bryan West, his children Chris and Lola West of TyTy, Sabrina and Lee Fletcher of Chula, and Heather and Brad Brownlee of Tifton. His grandchildren Aryel and Dillon Jones, Tryston Dasher, Lane Fletcher, and John Patrick Brownlee brought immense joy to his life. 

In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, Winston is survived by his brother John West of Tifton; sisters Edna McBee of TyTy and Pam (Billy Tucker) of Cairo; and sister-in-law Peggy West. He was preceded in death by his father Wilbur West, mother Reba Blankenship West, brothers Michael West and Ronald West; as well as his sister Maxine McKee (Glen McKee). 

Winston will be remembered not only for his dedication to his work but also for being an ardent supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and drag racing. Among his proudest accomplishments was the love he shared with his grandchildren. 

Winston's legacy of love, hard work, and family devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
