Yoshie "Tommie" (Yaggi) Shaw

Mrs. Yoshie "Tommie" Yaggi Shaw, 81, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Legacy Village of Tifton.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 26th at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Ty Ty with Rev. Steve Davis officiating and Dr. Fred Evers conducting graveside rites. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church of Ty Ty cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the church before the service.

Frank Willis, Sephus Willis, Glen Willis, Russ Shaw, Spencer Shaw and Nathan Shaw will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Shaw was born August 24, 1936 in Okinawa, Japan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shaw who died in 2013. Mrs. Shaw was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Ty Ty. She had lived in Ty Ty since 1971. Mrs. Shaw was active in her church where she was devoted to the nursery ministry for twenty-five years. She was a Brave’s fan, enjoyed cooking, being outside and working in her yard. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Shaw is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Cindy Shaw of Tifton; two grandchildren, Nathan Shaw and Sophie Shaw; two sisters of Okinawa, Japan.

Flowers accepted or donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Ty Ty, PO Box 158, Ty Ty, Ga. 31795.  The family would like to thank Legacy Village of Tifton for their care and kindness for Mrs. Shaw during her stay.
