Mrs. Carol Ruth Baker Simmons, 87, of Tifton passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Private graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 in Oakridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Simmons was born April 28, 1933 in Carol, Michigan to the late Chester Baker and Dorothy Becktel Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Charles Simmons, two sons, Gary Brink and Tom Simmons, two granddaughters, Olivia Saxton and Mary Brink, two brothers, Keith Baker and Carl Baker and one sister, Charlotte Putnam. Mrs. Simmons had lived in Tifton since 1980 moving here from Detroit, Michigan. Miss Carol loved to arrange silk flowers and read magazines. Her special friend was her dog Charlie. She loved her grandchildren especially Kayla Saxton who lives in Tifton.
Mrs. Simmons is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenna and Billy Saxton and Wendy and Terry Taylor all of Tifton, one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Beth Brink of Xenia, Ohio; seven grandchildren and two sisters, Collen Simmons of Adel and Kay Mihacsi of Carol Michigan.
