Mrs. Patrick was born on November 23, 1925, in Albany, Georgia, to Ralph H. Johnson and Estelle Cole Johnson.  Helen was the epitome of a gracious Southern woman, always well dressed, proper and classy.  Along with her late husband, James Gibbs Patrick, Sr., she was a dedicated and faithful member of Omega Baptist Church.  She represented a true Proverbs 31 woman:  industrious, prudent, wise, understanding, compassionate, kind, trustworthy, valuable, fruitful, and praiseworthy.  She was always helping others and even received the Golden Deed Award from the local Exchange Club.  In 2022, Helen was honored as the Grand Marshal of the Omega Pepper Festival.

Next to her faith, Mrs. Helen’s family was very important.  She and Gibbs were married 65 wonderful years and raised four children, and that was the beginning of a rich legacy filled with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In 1947, they spent their honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  They enjoyed spending their anniversary at the same hotel in the same room that they honeymooned in for sixty years.  The love these two shared was unmatched; they were truly the light in each other’s eyes!  Together, they enjoyed working in their yard and cultivating beautiful hydrangea shrubs.  These flowers were so big and beautiful that people driving by would stop to take pictures.

Mrs. Helen was preceded in death by her son Stan Patrick, grandson Clarke Patrick, two sisters:  Peggy Posnick and Nellie Shanks, and two brothers: Maxi and Herbert Johnson.  Survivors include two daughters:  Beth Dean (Larry) of Lake Park, GA; and Delaine Seamon (Larry) of Spanish Fort, AL; one son: Gibbs Patrick, Jr. (Diane) of Omega, GA; and one daughter-in-law:  Julie Patrick of Leesburg, GA.; her grandchildren:  Shad Dean (Betty), Jaime Patrick (Jessica), Brooke Music (Casey), Brent Seamon (Regina), Jon Patrick, Zach Seamon, Kent Patrick (Brooke), Chase Patrick (Julianna), Robbie Tindell (Laurie), Chad Tindell, Calib Johnson and Cameron Johnson; great grandchildren, Brandon Dean, Easton Dean, Kaytibeth Music, Aubrey Music, Jake Patrick, Jemma Patrick, Julieanne Patrick, Levi Patrick, Luke Patrick, Bo Patrick, Anna Patrick, Maylla Patrick, Clarke Patrick, Luke Tindell, Alex Tindell, and Autumn Voltava.
