Loreia Jean (DuBose) Edwards

Mrs. Loreia Jean Edwards, 86, of Tifton, died Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Reflections Hospice with Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Carrie Myers officiating. The interment will follow in Omega City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends before the service on Tuesday from 1:30 P.M. to 2:34 P.M.

Cole Edwards, Tyler Edwards, David Beranek, Jerome Outlaw, Blake Christian and Brad Christian will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Edwards was born on April 24, 1933, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to the late Hugh Dorsey and Avis Walton DuBose. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Eugene (Gene) Edwards.

Mrs. Edwards graduated from Omega High School.  She was employed by Tift County Board of Commissioners as the Elections Supervisor until her retirement in 2012.  She previously served as the Omega City Clerk and as a Pink Lady for Tifton Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.

She is survived by her two sons David (Melinda) Edwards of Cordele and Danny Edwards (Tracy St. Amant) of Ashburn, grandchildren; Danielle (David) Beranek of Canton, Tyler (Amber) Edwards of Lenox, Cole Edwards of Cordele, Davis, Jordan and Peyton Adkins of Cordele, great-grandchildren; Mason Beranek, Baylee Beranek, and Camden Edwards, one brother Tom (Ruby) DuBose and two nieces of Jacksonville, FL.
