Mrs. Norma Jean Dunn Warren, 77, of Omega passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Emory University Hospital of Atlanta.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Ring officiating. Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 P.M., Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the church before the service.
Scott Dunn, Eddie Dunn, Larry Dunn, Ray Beasley, Tommy Nash, Gene Webb and Jeff Robinson will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Warren was born February 11, 1944 in Waco, Texas to the late Edd Willard Dunn and Gwinette Hammock Dunn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Russell Warren Carns who died October 5, 2012 and her sister, Anna Rose Dunn. Mrs. Warren was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was a retired Head Teller with C&S Bank of Tifton. Following her retirement, she was the office manager at Omega Gin for over twenty years. She had lived in Omega most of her life. Miss Norma Jean was a lady of faith and very active in her church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the Choir. Her happiest times were when she was surrounded by her family. Mrs. Warren enjoyed traveling, was an excellent cook and wonderful housewife. Her purpose in life many times was recognizing and helping people during their times of need.
Mrs. Warren is survived by her husband, Harry Wayne Warren of Omega to whom she was married for fifty-nine years; her son Steven Wayne Warren of Omega; her daughter and son-in-law, Anna Rose and Ron Carns of TyTy; one grandson, Ross Carns and his fiancé, Scarlett Hogan of Chula; one great grandchild, Elliana Carns; two brothers and sister-in-law, John E. Dunn of Omega and Dwight and Joni Dunn of Tifton.
