Graveside services for Pastor Morris B. Gaines Jr. 76, of Tifton who died Saturday March 28, 2020 at his residence with his family at his side will be held Monday March 30, 2020 at 2 PM in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Pastor Gregg Gumby and Pastor John Hurdle officiating.

Morris was born in Fitzgerald Ga. the son of the late Morris B. Gaines Sr. and Anne Mathis Gaines. He was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School and was retired Railroad Conductor with the CSX Railroad. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He pastored River of Life Church in Tifton for the last 15 years. He was a member of Fellowship Church and Ministers International. Morris has been on Mission Trips to Mexico, Tanzania and Kenya.

He is survived by his wife Tina Weatherly Gaines of Tifton ; Children Tiffany (Paul) Murray of Jacksonville, Fl. and step daughter Monica (Ed) Williams of Leesburg Ga. ; Sister Sylvia Yawn of Yuma Az.; brother Monroe Gaines of Lincoln N.M.; grandchildren Phillip Murray, Lock Williams, and Cayden Douberly. He was predeceased by son Darren Gaines and step son Robert Moore.

In lieu of flowers make donations to River of Life Church, 2214 Tyson Ave. Tifton, Ga. 31794. A special Thank You to Tift Area Hospice and all the care givers.
